VIDEO PROJECTS
LIGHT'S JOURNEY
Light's Journey was my final project for the last production class at Keene State College and this was the project that solidified my love for astrophotography.
The project began with my friends James, Mikhail and I travelling cross country over to Utah to do a majority of the time lapses before looping over to California's Death Valley and Joshua Tree Parks, Nevada, and back home through Colorado.
The original idea was to have a short narrative go along with the film, but due to a combination of an encroaching deadline and some lost footage, I decided to edit the narrative out. But thanks to some digging in old hard-drives of mine, I was able to find the narrative footage and I plan on releasing the film how I originally envisioned it soon.
2021 DEMO REEL
With the pandemic slowing everything down in 2020 and going into 2021, I was able to focus on practicing my drone videography as well as hone my astrophotography skills.
The ice fishing portion of the video was filmed on Flanders Pond in Sullivan Maine and it was amazing to see so many people out on the ice at the same time. The last section of the demo reel was filmed in Bar Harbor Maine, not too far from Sullivan.
The drone footage featuring The Hole in the Wall was shot on a motorcycle trip I took back in 2018 but all other drone footage was shot between late 2020 and 2021. It was a crazy trip, my first big trip on that bike and seeing the country on the back of a motorcycle is probably the best way to see the US.
2016 CLARENCE DEMAR
MARATHON
This was a piece I shot and edited while working as the Multi-Media Director for The Equinox, Keene State College's newspaper.
The marathon is named after Clarence Demar, an incredible runner from Ohio who later moved to Keene, New Hampshire and won the Boston Marathon seven times, something no other runner has done since. The Clarence Demar Marathon has been hosted in Keene every year since 1978 in honor of him after he passed in 1958.
Evan Haas and Peter Dubois helped me film the runners as we drove to each checkpoint in the race and it was great seeing so many runners come out for the marathon.
KEENE STATE COLLEGE LLC VIRTUAL TOUR
While studying film production at Keene State College, I worked as a Res-Life employee during the summers and once the new Living Learning Center was built we decided to make a video tour for the new residents to see before moving in.
It's a beautiful building that houses students as well as having an area for classes on the ground floor. We ended up creating a few more tours for the other dorms, but this was a favorite to work on since it was a fresh new building and I was able to get a few timelapses of the new residents moving in.

ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Connor and I've been a New Hampshire native all my life and caught the movie making bug early on after seeing Peter Jackson's marvelous The Lord of the Rings film adaptation. My interest in astrophotography and timelapses didn't come to me until years later but I'm a fast learner and it's become a big part of what I do, not to mention it works well with my love of traveling.
Professionally my work includes being employed as the Multi-Media Director for the Keene State College newspaper and as a DIT/Media Manager on the North Woods Law TV show. As the MMD at The Equinox it was my job to write, film and edit a video about a news story or event happening on campus or in town.
I was a big fan of NWL when it was first filming in Maine, so I was over the moon when I got the opportunity to work as their DIT after they'd started filming in New Hampshire. Taking care of the filming equipment, release forms, expenses, and logging footage that was captured each day was the core of my job with the added bonus of acting as a PA whenever needed.
Although not professionally, I also filmed and edited Strangers by James Calnan III and Stain on a Schmuck by Matthew Cohen, college films that were created along with my Light's Journey project.
Experience and knowledge in filmmaking is the whole reason why I do what I do no matter where it takes me or what I'm doing. Currently living in Southern NH but I'm more than willing to move in order to work. If it looks like my expertise is what you need for an upcoming event or job, feel free to get in touch via email at cmfilmsandphotography@gmail.com
